1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a tour with JA Golf Travel Ltd, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions, please read them carefully before making a reservation

2. Booking and Payment Terms
-
Reservations can be made on this website, by email and phone, or in person.
-
A booking is confirmed when we receive a completed booking form and a deposit.
-
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour price is required at the time of booking.
-
The remaining balance is due no later than 90 days prior to arrival in Scotland, unless otherwise stated on your invoice.
-
Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of the booking and the forfeiture of the deposit.

3. Nature of the Booking

Your booking is for a package of travel services, including accommodation, golf, transport, and related services, supplied by us as principal.
-
All services are contracted and paid for by us in advance and are subject to strict supplier cancellation and amendment terms, particularly for Scottish golf courses and peak-season accommodation.

4. Non-Refundable Golf & Accommodation
-
Many Scottish links courses (including St Andrews, Kingsbarns, Carnoustie, Royal Dornoch, Turnberry, Castle Stuart, and others) require full pre-payment and operate on a non-refundable or partially refundable basis.

Once tee times or accommodation have been confirmed and paid for, they cannot normally be cancelled or refunded, even if a player cannot travel.

For this reason, all bookings are subject to the cancellation terms below.

5. Cancellation by the Client

If you cancel your booking for any reason, the following charges will apply:

Time before arrival: Cancellation charges.
-
More than 120 days. Loss of deposit.
-
120–91 days. 75% of total tour price.

90–31 days. 75% of total tour price
-
30 days or less.100% of total tour price
-
In addition, any non-refundable golf, accommodation, or other services already paid for on your behalf will be charged in full, regardless of the cancellation date.

If we are able to recover any funds from suppliers, these will be returned to you after deduction of any costs incurred.

6. No-Shows & Early Departures

If a guest does not arrive, arrives late, or leaves the tour early, no refund will be given for any unused services, including green fees, accommodation, transport, or activities.

7. Substitutions

Name changes or substitutions may be permitted subject to supplier approval.

Any costs incurred (such as ticket or tee-time reissue fees) will be charged to the client.

8. Weather, Course Closures & Playability

Scottish golf is played in natural conditions.
-
No refunds will be given for:

Bad weather
-
Course closures due to weather or maintenance
-
Delays or shortened rounds
-
Where possible, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide alternative golf, but this cannot be guaranteed.

9. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including cover for:

Trip cancellation
-
Illness or injury
-
Flight delays
-
Weather disruption
-
Non-refundable golf and accommodation
-
This is the only way to protect against financial loss if a cancellation is required.

10. Our Responsibility

We act as principal in providing your travel package and are responsible for the delivery of all services included in your booking.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These booking terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scots law, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
